About ACM

Association for Computing Machinery, commonly referred to as ACM, was founded in 1947. ACM is widely recognized as the premier membership organization for computing professionals, delivering resources that advance computing as a science and a profession,enable professional development and promote policies and research that benefit society.

ACM hosts the computing industry's leading Digital Library and Guide to Computing Literature, and serves its global members and the computing profession with journals and magazines, conferences, workshops, electronic forums, and Online Books and Courses.

We are the Institute of Technology, BHU's ACM Student chapter.Our goal is to enhance the undergraduate experience in computer science by promoting professional, social, and educational interaction among students interested in computers or computer science.

Our goals
1) To bring the students on a single platform for exchange of ideas, knowledge, experience, and trends
2) To provide a learning platform for students to showcase their talent as well as develop the right scientific temperament through interaction with the larger computing community.
3) To promote computing research among the students & enhance their programming abilities and problem solving skills

Our Activities
IT BHU's Student Chapter offers a variety of ways for you to get involved. Activities of our chapter include:
* Workshop Series: Workshops are the best way to gain first hand experiences. We bring speakers, who are experts of their fields to share their work and experiences which can help others to have a better understanding .
* Contests : We organize various contests with attractive prizes for winners to develop the skills of our members which may help them in their proffessional careers.
